It’s already almost July. I swear, the months seem to fly by faster every year I get older.
I’ve managed close to 70 books since the start of the year. Instead of recapping exact numbers and details, I’m sharing some of my favorites. Yes, romance gets more real estate here than the other categories (that is still my most read genre). And honestly, some of the fantasy double-dip there too. Also, most of the audiobooks are “rereads.” I like listening to audiobooks of things I’ve already read. Most of the time, the audio makes me fall in love with the book even more. Especially for Berries and Greed. That book has become my cozy monster romance favorite. I know cozy fantasy is a thing, and I think cozy monster romance needs to be a thing. Because I am all here for it.
All of the books here are highly recommended. They either made me laugh, cry, question the world, or seriously rethink my food choices (I’m looking at you, Butcher and Blackbird). You can go to my Goodreads to read my full reviews. But everything here is 💯👍❤️ (at least, in my opinion).

All the books here are rated 4 or 5 stars. This is not all of them for either rating, but a mix of ones that I think others should check out. Of these, Bride surprised me the most with how much I liked it and Saint Death’s Daughter was absolutely a chaotic ride that I laughed with far more than I thought a book about necromancy and assassins would have me doing. Beyond the Aching Door is just romantasy perfection, and Heathen & Honeysuckle made me cry (but the HEA was so worth it).
Any favorite books of your own so far this year?
