Here are some of the books I’ve finished in the last couple of months. As always, these are not the only books I’ve read, but just some of the ones I’ve posted to Instagram. For all of the books I’m reading/have finished, check out Goodreads.
Learn to Love You and Alone With You in the Ether were the only two of these books that were not ARCs. AWYITE was an audiobook. I had read The Atlas Six by the same author (Olivie Blake), and liked her somewhat stark, snarky, and sharply edged writing style. Her characters are prickly and hard to crack, which I guess resonates with me. And this book was all about two people with their own deeply troubled issues finding each other and figuring out how to be themselves when intertwined in the life of someone else.
I had previously read Queenie and the Krakens and Lourdes and the Mafia by the author Jade Hernandes (writing under her other name, Aleera Anaya Ceres), so when Learn to Love You came out I had to read it. It is a spicy romance that has depth and an FMC with a true sense of self and what she will and will not put up with. Plus, Junior has a dirty, dirty mouth 😉
As for the ARCs, Spring, Summer, Autumn, Us was one of those books that sneak up on you. I got it as an ARC from NetGalley. It is all about second chances, and being in the right place at maybe the wrong time. About love that will be there when you least expect it, but when you need it the most.
*All ARCs were from either NetGalley or BookSirens. They were read and reviewed voluntarily and all opinions are my own.
