Much like new coffee places, I jump at the chance to check out new bookstores (especially indie ones). And a new one opened up in town recently that is beautiful! And has a great selection of books. And one wall… seriously has the Beauty and the Beast library wall (with ladder!) of my dreams.

Book Nerd is absolutely enchanting. The window displays are fun (it was near Halloween when I went in, so the theme had ghosts). There are book-related trinkets and items, as well as an impressive array of books of all genres throughout the store. There is even a meeting/reading room in the back, and a huge rug and space up front that remind me of a living room at home.

In the back and in the kids section is a stunning mural of Hobbiton. I managed to keep myself to two books on this trip, but plan on making many more. The owners were both there and very nice and helpful to everyone that came in. I love that we have another space in town for book lovers to go to and hang out in.
