I keep telling myself that it could be worse. I could be addicted to so many other things that are not books. Over the past couple of months I have made a few book purchases, some of which are direct from the author (I support as much as I can, and where I can). The bonus of this? Signed copies.

I already purchased the NSFW cover of The Fate Philosophy from Sarah A. Bailey, so when she offered up a new run of the same cover of The Soulmate Theory, I jumped on it. I also won a copy of the original cover of The Fate Philosophy (from being on the ARC/Street team and entering a contest). Wish You Were Here and Sunastara and the Venusian are five-star reads from Jes K. Hardy. When I saw a post that she had some author copies to sell, I was in the DMs so fast. And now the beauties are mine.

Devyn Sinclair writes some of my favorite omegaverse. It is low(er) angst, where there is a lot of drama, but it is usually external to the main group. I already owned Priceless and Endless (the current books in the Clarity Coast series). But now I have a full set of discreet covers for the Slate City series, and a copy of Just Drive (which led me to getting interested in Formula 1 and racing). And Order of Scorpions is one of my favorite darker fantasy books that I don’t think gets nearly enough attention. I saw that Ivy Ashe had some scratch-and-dent copies for sale. This hardback is gorgeous, and you can hardly tell there is an issue with the dust jacket.

The most recent book mail was my pre-order for Holy Wrath. I LOVE Nyatrix and Ophelia. And this cover (the jacket and the case laminate) artwork is to die for. As noted in the image, Your Honor, I love them. This is one of my favorite books of the year (already, even with half the year to go).
