I almost forgot to post this one. Which goes very much in hand with how April seemed to go as a month. I did not get a lot of new books in, compared to recent months. I did do a fair amount of re-listening to some comfort books (the Onley James Necessary Evils series), because my brain wanted known quantities of serotonin.

However, there were some new books that managed to get read. The best of which was Oathbound. I am in love with this series by Tracy Deonn. It is one of those that gets better with each book. Highly recommend all of them!

I also read an ARC (Of Earthly Delights, which gets its own post this week with a longer review) and some omegaverse. THe omegaverse were mostly smut, some plot. Which I appreciated, because that is what I needed at the time.

The last two included my first Julie Soto book. I did enjoy Not Another Love Song. It was quite angsty, very much adversaries to lovers with a third-act breakup that hurt, but fit with the story well so it didn’t bother me as much as some tend to do.
I started Tomorrow Will be Different during the Trans Rights Readathon week, but did not get to finish it until later. Sometimes memoirs can feel forced to me, but this one was excellent. And I cried when Andy died (not a spoiler, as this is real-life and already happened), because Sarah wrote about their relationship so beautifully I felt it.
There is a long list of ARCs for me to finish in the next couple of months. I’m still in a bit of a reading slump and have been re-reading again (Hello, Just Drive by Devyn Sinclair!). The slump is mostly due to work being busy and the world falling apart. You know, the usual.
But books are always there, and I will continue to reach for them.
Oh, and May the 4th be with you 😉
