Like so much in the rest of my life, this little space has been neglected. The world is on fire and I am trying to keep afloat. I miss writing here, though. It gives me an outlet amidst the onslaught of reality. And my little “WIP” has also been long forgotten. Someday I’ll get back to it. I have a lot of ideas, and probably a bit of a redirection on the motivations of a few characters. One of these days…
For today, at least, I am putting down my February recap of books. Surprisingly, reading has managed to hold on as an activity, even though some days it doesn’t feel like I get to do much of it.

I did something a bit different with the image this time, and went for a calendar approach. Apparently, I like finishing books on Tuesdays. And the first week of February was full. Bloodmarked was by far the favorite of the month (I have Oathbound on hold at the library right now). And What Moves the Dead was delightfully creepy. I was less excited about Onyx Storm. That series is starting to feel a bit like the Blood and Ash series to me – overly long and a bit repetitive, but I’m now in it for the long haul. I think it’s because of the dragons.
Also, I Am Made of Death is yet another book by Kelly Andrew that nails atmosphere and story. I am being converted into a gothic-style eldritch horror fan more and more each day.
