I’m back. Sort of. Book reviews and related content are coming soon. I have some ARCs to share and other book recaps and things to wrap-up 2024. Which already seems like a lifetime ago.

Around here, you may notice that the “decoration” has changed a bit (unless you read in a reader, then it probably all looks the same). But I felt like going back to a simpler format for this online space. More to the “old school” blog scroll on the front page. And separating out some other stuff. I feel myself moving in a minimal-ish style direction again. Too much clutter makes my eye twitch.

In this new year, there are no resolutions, per se. More of a set of amorphous goals. To get a better handle on what I write here vs. Substack (or if I just copy everything to both for now). To share more about my life (in a way that still keeps the pertinent details off the internet, at least as much as you can these days when so much is already online). To build a life in a country (and state) that are not very welcoming to those of my disposition now that people are openly saying the quiet parts out loud. To remain true to myself, to protect myself, and also remember to reach out a hand when I am able to those that need it. To use my voice for good.

2025 is already full of challenges. May we meet them with strength and humility. May we amplify the good and bury the bad. And may we find community with which to share our best selves.
