Fated to Fall Over and Over Again

I am a sucker for a love over lifetimes fated “mates” story. Even better when only one of the lovers remembers everything, and in each lifetime it seems like the love is doomed to fail. The three books below are my absolute favorites in the “trope,” and ones I would recommend over and over again.

Beneath the Buried Sea (and the first book of the duo, Beyond the Aching Door) by @by_victoriamier are a gorgeous, aching journey where Raegan and her Unseelie King are destined to lose each other. But in this lifetime of Raegan’s, they might finally get the chance to stop losing one another and start living. Beautiful prose, vivid atmosphere, and some feral MCs make for fantasy perfection.

The Hundred Loves of Juliet by @evelyn_skye is a new take on Romeo and Juliet. Where no matter what he does, every time he finds Juliet again, he still loses her. And in this lifetime, Sebastien (Romeo) meets Helene (Juliet), and things are different… It starts as a rom-com and ends up as so much more.

The final book on this list is a darker romance in Was I Ever Here by @naomi.loud. Sunny and Byzantine have met in many lifetimes, but they’ve always lost one another. In this lifetime, only Byzantine remembers the past, and Sunny is dealing with darker demons and trying not to drown. It is heartbreaking and sexy and dark, but also full of hope.
