Horror-adjacent is not usually my go-to, but I will read anything from Naomi Loud. This was a perfect mix of horror and dark and twisted. You could feel the unease in your bones as you read. Is Maeve unraveling? How did she get to the Ambrose Hotel? And what, exactly, is Hazel? And who is pulling the strings? You get answers, but are also left with a lot of questions. Which I loved. And a hint of fate, which will always get my attention in a story.
