I was joking with a friend via Instagram DM the other day that I couldn’t leave a bookstore without buying something. While sitting in a bookstore cafe. So, you can guess what happened before I left…

Three new books for the already too long TBR. Sorry, not sorry (is that still a phrase we’re using these days?). The one at the bottom is Aphrodite and the Duke. I used to LOVE regency/historical romance (back in my Johanna Lindsey days), and have not read much of it lately. This one sounded too good to pass up. I may not be the hugest Bridgerton fan (saw season 1 and 2 of the show, never read the books), but I do love me a good Duke and some high-brow gossip and scandal. This one is also a second-chance romance, which is one of my favorite tropes!

Truly, Madly, Deeply is a book set in the same universe/time as one of my reads from last year, The Fiancee Farce. I loved that book, and have been meaning to pick this one up for a while. So, now it’s mine. This one is more of an antagonists-to-lovers plotline, which is also one that I enjoy.

I’ve been seeing The Honey Witch around on social media, but never thought much of it. From the back, it sounds like a good cozy witchy magic story. The witch in question has taken on a role where she is unable to find love. But a grumpy sceptic comes in that makes her want to try. It’s a sapphic romance and sounds delightful. And the cover is gorgeous!
