Books and Cozy Chaos

Observations

Sometimes, when you are out in the world, there are things that make you pause, look again, and wonder about what it is your eyeballs just saw. Some of these things are funny, Some are curiosities. Some feel like you’re intruding on something that wasn’t meant for you.

Years ago while on a vacation in San Francisco, while walking near the water, I saw this sign plastered to a newspaper stand. It was a “lost connection” sign, like those ads that you used to (still do?) find in the classified section of newspapers or on Craigslist (which I just checked, still exists!). The date on here says 2013, and I saw this in winter of 2019. Signs like this make me want to come up with a story, a second-chance romance. Although I am curious as to why Arizona residents were void for the reward…

Was this a prank? A warning? A Halloween decoration that was never put away so now it’s being moved around like Elf-On-A-Shelf until someone caves?

Oh, Galveston. This house is having an identity crisis. I saw this in the Spring of this year. The decor is Christmas, Halloween(?), medieval, pirate, Mardi Gras, and who knows what else is hiding in there. This was definitely a choice. I just don’t know what type of choice.

I have had this photo save for over a decade. I saw it on the ferris wheel at a county fair back in Tennessee. I wonder what prompted this to even have to be made. I mean, it is very true, but still. Why did this even need to be said aloud?

Seen any weird/cool things lately?
