It’s always fun when new food places open up in town. Recently. I managed to make it over to Pullman Market, the newest food hall/grocery in the Pearl District here in San Antonio. It is definitely a bougie grocery store for the first half of the building (think a cross between Whole Foods, HEB Central Market, and probably Erewhon). But the back half is full of food places. There is a bakery, coffee, burger counter, and a couple of restaurants and a bar. Around the bar there is open seating to eat. I ordered a wagyu burger with blue cheese and salt & vinegar fries (the fries were so good). I enjoyed all of my meal, and the atmosphere. There are a few stalls selling candles/home decor stuff scattered around as well.
This is a nice place to go. Not sure I will ever go there just to get groceries, but the burger bar and other meal places seemed to have decent food at not crazy prices. And the atmosphere is open and bright, with a lot of options for seating and meeting up with friends.
Definitely worth a perusal if you are in the area. Maybe not a trip just for the market, but definitely a stroll if you’re already in the Pearl.
