I have had All I’ve Wanted All I’ve Needed on the TBR for a LONG time. It just sat in my KU library, forgotten and skipped over for weeks. The other day I saw a book person I follow mention the audiobook version of it, and decided it was time to finally get to it. And I am SO happy I did!
I loved the progression of Harlow in this book! It was so refreshing to see her grow into herself as she discovered her own wants and needs. And Acyn was the perfect person to help her and be the friend (and eventually more) that she needed to have on her side.
The friends on both sides (and family) were solid, and kept our main characters grounded. Even the misunderstanding near the end made sense within the confines of this story. Acyn is a book boyfriend that you can admire and desire all at once. And he and Harlow fit so damn well together.
And Harlow… I felt for her. I think in some ways I am sort of like her. Questioning comfort over change, learning to trust in your vision for the future. And realizing that something beautiful and unexpected can come from a solid friendship built on mutual respect, and great banter. This is friends to lovers in the best of ways. It is also a delicious slow burn that works so well. I will definitely read the next books following the rest of the friend group.
