Books and Cozy Chaos

A Trip to… Galveston Bookshop

On a somewhat recent trip, I ended up on Galveston, TX. I had never been before, and while part of it is definitely a beach town atmosphere, the downtown historic area reminded me a bit of New Orleans. There were tons of old buildings, fascinating architecture, and little shops to pop into and explore (in between standard tourist fare). I ended up at two different coffee places in under an hour (I was VERY caffeinated).

One of the places I saw was the Galveston Bookshop. Form the outside, it is a bit hard to miss, and very cool to see. The outer walls have book spines, and the whole storefront looks inviting. Once inside, there are two stories crammed full of shelves. I only had a little time to explore, but I could easily spend hours wandering and looking at all the books. It was a mix of old and new, and felt incredibly cozy.

If you like used bookstores with character and are in the Galveston area, check it out!
