This was one of those things that I did not set out to accomplish. But somewhere along the way, I noticed that I had read for over 100 days in a row on my Kindle app. Naturally, I wondered how long I could go with it. As of now, I am at 386 days in a row. Once I hit 365 (a year), I didn’t actively look at the numbers anymore, but when I looked recently I saw that I am continuing the streak, no breaks yet. I’m pretty sure I can keep the week streak going, but now I’m just curious to see how long the daily one can make it.
I mean, I am going to read anyway, might as well make a little game of it too. As of only a few years ago, I was hardly reading at all, so this is kinda nice to see. This is what happens when I stop watching a lot of TV and switch to the written word. Still entertainment, just in a different form. It also makes me relax a little more and actually pay attention (it’s harder to tune out when you’re reading a book). I think I am able to keep this up more because I send all my library ebooks to the Kindle to read. And I have the app on my phone too, so I can read more often at random intervals during the day.
Whatever the reason, this has been a fun little experiment, and we’ll see how far it goes…
