So, I sorta made a book? I think. It very much needs to be read in a questioning manner. I decided to take all of my poems from college, like those that I have been posting as individual entries, and combine them all into a single document. I used Google Docs to “write” (or more accurately, transcribe), and Reedsy to format (since it is free).
At some point in my past, I thought I might be an English major and a writer. Like many do. But as with a lot of hobbies and side-passions, it fell away. My writing quickly became relegated to research papers. Sometimes I think I may want to try it again. Not in a “professional” manner, but just for me. I do have a proposal/outline for a possible romance trilogy sitting in my Google Drive. Whether it gets actually written and finished remains to be seen. Although NaNoWriMo is coming up soon, so maybe…
Anyways, I posted the PDF book of poetry here, on the Of Note page. Free to download if you want. I decided to use a pen name, J. Lynn Hazelton. If you are so inclined, you can leave comments on my twenty-something’s attempts and being literary. Some of those poems I do still like quite a bit. Others are very much the writing of an Intro to Poetry student writing to the prompt for a grade. But there are nuggets there.
Happy reading!
